in order to fully implement the spirit of the directions issued by the cpc central committee, the state council and the sasac on epidemic prevention and control work, and actively respond to the call of "epidemic is the order and prevention and control is the responsibility", on feb. 5, chemchina delivered to shuguang institute the requirement on researching and developing, and changing the production line to, the important resource of isolating clothing which is necessary for the epidemic prevention and control. hu dongchen, the chairman and party secretary of china haohua, called three telephone meetings successively to make the deployment urgently. after receiving the task, the party committee of shuguang institute immediately devoted into the specific work about changing the production line. all members believe that the national front line of epidemic prevention and control is more nervous than ever before and in urgent need of medical materials; as a central enterprise and military enterprise, we must fulfill our initial mission at war-time posture with strong sense of national responsibility. without hesitation or reliance on others, we should take immediate actions to adjust existing production technologies for protective clothing to carry out research, development and production, so as to produce the isolating clothing necessary for fighting against the epidemic at all costs.

the two types of medical isolating clothing, gl-7 and gl-8, by shuguang institute, are made of military-purpose, chemical-resistant rubber coating material, which has excellent virus isolation and protection performance. the pinholes are protected by external strips in a safe and reliable manner. they are designed according to medical protective clothing standards, so they are light and comfortable (weight less than 700g), and easy to put on and take off. after chemical washing, decontamination or ultraviolet sterilization, they can be re-used for many times. the gl-7 can be washed and decontaminated, and can be re-used up to 30 times; and the gl-8 can also be washed and decontaminated, and can be re-used up to 10 times.

now, the two types of medical isolating clothing developed by shuguang institute are under the application filed to the competent governmental authority for testing, and under the medical equipment registration and the production registration. after relevant approvals are obtained and they are put into batch production, it is predicted that the daily capacity of gl-7 will be 300 suits and that of gl-8 will be 1200 suits. as the next step, shuguang institute will put all efforts to change the production line and contribute to the fight against the epidemic as a central company.
