(correspondents: wang yating & zhang ming) the agro-related co2 technology development and promotion center of china industrial gases industry association (cigia) was inaugurated at zhonghao guangming research & design institute of chemical industry corporation (guangming institute) on the morning of june 8. the inauguration ceremony was attended by more than 20 persons, including president du jun and secretary-general pu chungan of cigia, chairman yue chengjun, vice chairman zhang runjiang and secretary-general zhao min of cigia co2 committee, etc.
in addressing the ceremony, du jun gave full recognition to the development and promotion of agro-related co2 technologies and expressed his hope for guangming institute’s greater progress in making innovations in this field capitalizing on its technology strengths.
the establishment of the agro-related co2 technology development and promotion center will foster a closer link between industrial and agricultural co2, which is of great significance to pushing forward the application of co2 to fertilization, preservation and insecticide technologies and the integrated use of co2, reducing co2 emissions, accelerating the application of guangming institute’s new technologies and making innovation a new engine of development.
